Six Clear Sections, Everything in its Place
The Customiser is now organised into six clearly defined sections, making it much faster to find what you’re looking for:
- Header & Footer: All header layout, footer layout, and footer widget controls in one place.
- Layout: Global settings for site width and block spacing.
- Colours: Your palette for global brand colours, widgets, navigation, and the footer.
- Typography: All font-related settings.
- Blog Options: Controls for post and archive display.
- Components: Global styles for cards, grids, and rounded corners.
Tidy Accordions in Every Section
Rather than presenting every control in one long, scrollable list, each section now groups related settings into collapsible accordions. For example, opening Header & Footer now reveals three neat accordions — ‘Header’, ‘Footer’, and ‘Footer Widgets’ — instead of an endless list of options.
The same principle applies throughout. The Colours panel is neatly split into ‘Global’, ‘Widget’, ‘Navigation’, and ‘Footer’ groups, making it a breeze to manage your site’s palette.
Footer Widgets Are Finally Where You’d Expect Them
Previously, the four footer widget columns appeared as separate top-level items. They are now tucked inside the Header & Footer section under a single ‘Footer Widgets’ accordion — which is exactly where you’d go looking for them.
It’s the Same Engine, with a New Dashboard
It’s important to note that this was purely a user experience update. All your existing settings, saved values, and live-preview behaviour remain identical. This was simply a reorganisation to give every setting a more logical and intuitive home.
